Beginning Knitting: Learn basics of knitting and complete a hat in this 3-week class.

Materials: 150 yds. worsted weight yarn, 16” circular sz. 8 and sz 8 dp needles.

Baby Surprise Jacket: Elizabeth Zimmerman’s intriguing baby Surprise Jacket is the project for this class. Weight of yarn determines the finished size.

Materials: for an infant size, 450 yds of sport wt. or 400 yds of worsted wt for a size 1, pattern and appropriate needle for yarn.

Three-Week Class: $50

Harry Potter Knits: Love Harry Potter? Knit house hats, scarves, mittens or start any other project from “Charmed Knits” with Alison Hansel herself.

Materials: A copy of Charmed Knits and yarn and needles for project selected.

Three-Week Class: $50

 "Samus" Cabled and Zippered Cardigan: Interesting cables, construction and other techniques take this cardigan to the next level. “Samus” is a downloadable pattern from knitty.com. Knit it with Lamb’s Pride Worsted or another yarn that knits to 4 ½ sts = 1”.

Materials: Enough yarn for the size you are making, sz 8 32” or longer circular needle, sz 8 DP needles (or size needed for gauge), cable needle, stitch holders and tapestry needle.

Four-Week Class: $65 This class meets every other week.

Wednesday: 6:15-8:15 pm, Oct. 29, Nov. 12, Dec. 3 & 17

Crochet Workshop for Knitters: This workshop will provide you with fundamentals of crochet. You will learn the basic stitches and how they can be used to finish or embellish knitted items.

Materials: Bring some knitted swatches or items you can practice on, extra yarn and appropriate hook.

Two-Hour Workshop: $30

Wednesdays: 6:15-8:15 pm, Nov. 5

Fair Isle Knitting: Learn 2-color stranded knitting in this 2-week class. Knit a hat using 2 or more colors of yarn.

Materials: Theresa Gaffey pattern #43, Fishes of the Sea, 100 yds each of 3 colors of yarn – 5 sts =1”, 16^ circular and DP needles in appropriate size, and tapestry needle.

Two-Week Class: $40

Tuesdays: 6:15-8:15 pm, Nov. 18 & 25

Knitting Language: Mystified by knitting language? Learn to read charts, follow patterns and know what all those knitting abbreviations mean.

Materials: Worsted wt yarn, appropriate needles, cable needle and stitch markers.

Two-Week Class: $40

Wednesday: 6:15-8:15 pm, Nov. 19 & Dec. 10

Clapotis Wrap: Knit this popular wrap from Knitty.com. Dropped stitches and interesting techniques will hold your attention throughout the entire project.

Materials: 850 yds worsted wt yarn, sz 8 needles, stitch markers, tapestry needle and pattern.

Three-Week Class: $50

Tuesdays: 6:15-8:15, Dec. 2 - 16

Please come to class with all materials purchased beforehand. There will be no refunds or credits for withdrawal from any class.

You may register in person, by phone with your credit card, or by mail with your personal check. If a class is cancelled due to insufficient enrollment a complete refund will be made.

Private lessons may be scheduled Tuesday - Friday during shop hours at $25.00 per hour.
